Healthy screen time is so important to reduce the time on your phone. I’ll be sharing some tips on how to do a digital detox! This doesn’t mean you have to lock your phone away and sit in the Corner having FOMO. Keep reading to create healthy screen time habits
Unplug from your phone and charge your battery
A report found that adults consume around 11 hours of screen time a day. That sounds like an entire day to me!
There are so many benefits of a digital detox. Your eyes will thank you and you will feel more productive and In control of your life.

1. Don’t use your phone for an alarm.
Use anything else, sunlight, an iPad or just a basic digital clock! Choose to start your day tech-free for a peaceful mind and making sure your day begins in a positive way.
2. Turn off notifications
This way the temptation is gone or you can reduce them too. Instagram has a great feature where it pauses your notifications for a chosen amount of hours. I choose 8 because that’s my full day at work and I am more productive when I don’t have the temptation.
3. Reduce screen time
There’s are so many apps and iPhone even have a built-in feature that manages your screen time and tells you which apps you’ve used and for how long.
4. Create your own healthy boundaries
Remember that you are in control of your phone and your phone is not in control of you. We always have the choice to ignore screen time notifications, so set those boundaries and remind yourself this is only going to benefit you
5. Surround yourself with positivity
If you’re going to spend time on your phone make sure it positive!. Doing a detox on your social media and making sure you don’t follow accounts that don’t make you feel good or inspired, is the best way to be in control of how it affects you.
6. Be mindful
Be aware of how much you use your phone mindlessly. Each of those moments we have a “quick” scroll through social media adds up to hours at the end of the day. Watch this video to learn how to be more mindful by reading my blog post too!
My digital detox and it changed the way I see my phone. I use it to share my life with the world but I also learn from and get so much inspiration. It was easy to go without it for a weekend and not miss it.
